1. Ensure your spot

Want to make sure you have a place in the audition class? You can pre-register beforehand to ensure your spot! All that’s left to do is turn in your photos and pick up your number at check-in.

2. One audition, so many options!

When you audition in part of the 2018 National Audition Tour, you will be considered for Summer Intensive 2018 and Charlotte Ballet’s Pre-Professional Division. Dancers can also be pre-screened for further Charlotte Ballet II consideration.

3. Stress Less

No need to worry about being tapped on the shoulder and asked to leave! Kiss that fear of being cut goodbye. The audition is a full techniques class and you will get to experience the full 90 minutes. Ladies, don’t forget your pointe shoes!

4. Hello Austin, Texas!

We are going to Austin, Texas for the first time this tour season! Be sure to stop by Ballet Austin on Saturday, January 20, 2 – 6:30 PM. We can’t wait to meet all of the talent in Austin and surrounding areas.

No problem! You can send in a Video Audition beginning January 2 through February 5. Submissions must include a completed Video Audition Form, a $40 audition fee, a 4×6 headshot, and a 4×6 photo in first arabesque. Video auditions should be no longer than 10 minutes in length and must include a live introduction with name, age, years of study, and current place of study. Video should have center work including adagio, petite allegro, grand allegro, pirouettes (en dehors and en dedans), and pointe work for women. Men should include tour en l’air and allegro that includes beats and pirouettes.
