Nutcracker Coast to Coast: How New Sets and Costumes are Made

Thanks to a $1 million dollar gift from the McColl family in honor of Jane Spratt McColl, Charlotte Ballet is building all new sets and costumes for Nutcracker. Artistic Director Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux is working with a world-renowned design team to create the 208 new costumes plus scenery and sets for the performance.

Check out our interactive map below to see where the sets and 746 costumes pieces are being created across the U.S. as we work to get the performance to stage by December 3. Click on each icon to learn about the maker, what they’re making and see photos!
