One of our most-popular, sell-out performance series, Innovative: Direct from the LAB, will welcome audiences back to Charlotte Ballet’s home at the Center for Dance this winter. All choreography will be created in-house as an extension of the Choreographic Lab series that Artistic Director Hope Muir introduced during her first season with the company. This will be a truly innovative performances series like no other.
MARCH 2021 KNIGHT THEATER
A FAIRY-TAILORED CLASSIC
Following the postponement of this glorious production in the wake of the pandemic, Charlotte Ballet is thrilled to present choreographer Matthew Hart’s Sleeping Beauty: A Fairy-Tailored Classic at the Belk Theater this holiday season. This family-friendly reduced version of the Petipa classic, which will make its world premiere in Charlotte, stays true to its beloved choreography set to Tchaikovsky’s score with lavish sets and costumes by designer Peter Docherty.
