One of our most-popular, sell-out performance series, Innovative: Direct from the LAB will welcome audiences back to Charlotte Ballet’s home at the Center for Dance this winter. All choreography will be created in-house as an extension of the Choreographic Lab series that Artistic Director Hope Muir introduced during her first season with the company. Additionally, in a unique twist, the Charlotte community had a hand in selecting two of the presenting choreographers—Audrey Baran and Bianca Bonner—through a public vote in December. With narrative themes centered around personal stories from within the Charlotte community, this will truly be an innovative performance series like no other!
Charlotte Ballet is committed to the health and safety of our dancers, students, staff, board members, volunteers, patrons and guests. The following safety protocols have been established to ensure a safe return to theaters. Click here for the full list of protective measures.
- Revised seating that adheres to proper social-distancing guidelines
- Enhanced cleaning procedures and protocols
- Mask requirement for all staff and patrons in theater setting
