Hope visits Charlotte Ballet in July 2016

New Charlotte Ballet Artistic Director Hope Muir will embark on her first season with Charlotte Ballet bringing a slate of PERFORMANCES sure to transform audiences through new choreographers and works. The season features The Most Incredible Thinga fairytale pop ballet that played to sold out crowds in London. The Most Incredible Thingmakes its U.S. debut right here in Charlotte with music by the Pet Shop Boys.

Born in Toronto, Hope has worked for the past 29 years throughout Europe, Canada and the United States in both classical ballet and contemporary dance companies.

Hope danced with English National Ballet before joining Rambert Dance Company, where she danced for over 10 years under the direction of Christopher Bruce CBE. She completed her stage career in 2006 as a dancer with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.

A sought after guest teacher, stager and rehearsal director, Hope works with some of the most prestigious companies worldwide, including The National Ballet of Canada, The Royal Ballet, Rambert Dance Company, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Ballet BC.

Hope has remounted works internationally for a number of choreographers including Christopher Bruce CBE, Javier De Frutos, Helen Pickett and Crystal Pite.

In 2009, Hope joined Scottish Ballet as a rehearsal director and was promoted to assistant artistic director in 2015.
