On the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season and supports philanthropy to bring about a change in communities nation-wide, powered by the collaboration of social media.
Our goal during #GivingTuesdayCLT is to raise funds for scholarships in the Academy and Reach. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of dance. Talent has no limits, however it needs to be discovered, cherished and nurtured.
$1,000 provides a partial scholarship for an Academy student
$250 provides four Reach classes and accompaniment by percussionist
$100 provides live accompaniment for one Academy class
$50 provides dance attire (leotards, tights, ballet shoes) for two female Reach students
Charlotte Ballet’s Reach program is a three-year, community engagement, need-based dance scholarship program designed to make high-quality dance training accessible for children ages 7-13. Reach provide equitable access to training, an impact on social behavior and learning and high-quality performing arts instruction.
