Meet Amber Bennett!

Amber Bennett is the new Academy Business Manager. She joined the team in March and has made a huge impact already. She brings a wealth of experience with her in performing arts management and dance education. We’re excited to have her at Charlotte Ballet. Get to know Amber better from our Q&A below!

Share more about your work with Charlotte Ballet.

My role has always been more of a behind-the-scenes contributor – I manage student financials, data collection and analysis, metric reporting, a lot of numbers and spreadsheets! And then in addition to that I work closely with Lizzy, our Experience Manager, to ensure our students and families are well taken care of! We like to say Lizzy is the Front of House and I’m the Back of House.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Preferably something away from a screen! I love to cook/bake, read, and most of my weekends are spent in Wilmington at the beach!

Any good movie, book, or music recommendations?

My go-to book recommendation is always The Rules Do Not Apply by Ariel Levy! As far as movies, I recently saw In the Heights which is an absolute must-see, especially if you have the option to see it in theaters!

What do the arts in Charlotte mean to you?

As a Charlotte transplant, I can’t stress enough the importance and beauty of how much art is available in Charlotte. You’re never far away from murals, museums, music, theaters, and of course – dance! I love that I don’t have to go searching for art in Charlotte, it’s all around.
