EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCES
Visit a live, professional ballet performance tailored just for students. Students will visit the Center for Dance, Belk Theater or Knight Theater in Uptown Charlotte for a daytime, educational version of a main-stage contemporary or storybook ballet.
Teachers will receive a complimentary online multimedia study guide to engage students prior to attending the performance, and students have the opportunity to ask professional dancers questions during a live Q&A.
Performances are approximately 90 minutes in length when planning bus schedules.

Experience Johan Inger’s Walking Mad, based on the concept of continuously changing spaces. This performance will also feature works from Artistic Director Alejandro Cerrudo, including a Charlotte Ballet premiere!

CARMEN

Andrea Schermoly reimagines the classic tale of Carmen, set against a 1973 Las Vegas showgirl-themed production. This electrifying reinterpretation explores the themes of seduction, passion and love, leading to a tragic and heartbreaking fate. With two men vying for her affection, this heroine embarks on a tumultuous affair filled with emotion and unforgiving betrayal.
This version of Carmen may display themes intended
for mature audiences.
