Stella Urbano was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. She began dancing at age 4, and quickly knew she wanted to pursue a professional career. She joined the Florida Ballet where she trained under Linda Reifsnyder-Jenkins and Roberto Forleo as a conservatory student and later a trainee and apprentice with the professional company. While at the Florida Ballet, Stella participated in levels 2-6 of the ABT National Training Curriculum Exams earning scores with high honors. Stella graduated high school a year early, and at age 17 she moved to Pittsburgh, PA to join Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Graduate Program. While at PBT, she has had the opportunity to work and perform in multiple productions including Terrence Orr’s Nutcracker, Trey McIntyre’s Peter Pan, Balanchine’s Serenade, Septime Weber’s Wizard of Oz, and Houston Thomas’ Steel City Elegy.
Stella has enjoyed competing in several competitions such as YAGP, Universal Ballet Competition, Miami International Ballet Competition, and the National Society for Arts & Letters. She has attended summer intensive programs at The Royal Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Colorado Ballet, and Orlando Ballet.
Stella is so grateful and excited to be joining Charlotte Ballet ll for the 2025-2026 season!
