In honor of Black History Month, we shone a light on the work of those who paved the way for Black dancers in Ballet. Now, we’d like to introduce you to the Black artists who are currently making history at Charlotte Ballet. Read our interview with Eric Stith.

Who inspired you to become a dancer? Balanchine, his dancers (especially Arthur Mitchell), his choreography and their spirit and energy inspired me to dance. They encouraged me to be the best I can be, work for something, and they inspire me to dance every day.
